Other*
Standard Pyrex blanks are supplied with flat faces (Plano-Plano) with one face surface ground. If a mistake is made on one surface, the blank can be turned and the fabricator can make a second attempt at generating the required curvature. All blanks are molded from Pyrex 7740 material and are fine annealed. Precision annealed blanks are available upon request. Please make note of the fact that Pyrex material was developed primarily for front surface mirrors and not as a material from which precision lenses and optical windows can be made. If you are interested in making lenses or optical windows (corrector plates) then you should make your selection from the family of optical glasses which are listed in other section of this catalog.
