Note: If you do not want the plate glass tooling that goes with the achromatic blanks just add the letters 'NT' to the part number, e.g., AAB4.15NT.

All surfaces are furnished ground. A plate glass tool is furnished for each lens surface.

It is recommended that a person interested in making a doublet for the first time should consider doing a cemented version before attempting an airspace doublet. The costs for replacement blanks is much more costly for airspace doublet kit than for the cemented version should an error be made.

The tolerances you have to finish at are as follows: Radius tolerance is 1/20 %; thickness tolerance is +/,005'.
